The poster of the 14th International Crime and Punishment Film Festival, designed by Sude Yeşim, is from a scene in The Trial. The frame used in the poster was inspired by Kafka’s previously published story Before the Law, which is one of the key episodes of the film and tells the story of a man who comes from the countryside to seek the justice and waits for years in the face of obstacles. In reference to this story, the image of the door, a recurring motive in the film, inspired the festival poster.
